Please introduce yourself

My name is Rachel and I turned 60 last year and am really ready to enjoy the next decade. I am married with two grown up children and I am lucky to split my time between London and Mallorca. I still work part time as an Interior Designer but most of the time now I’m on a court – tennis or padel! I joined insta as @rach_elegant during covid when I started posting a daily outfit – I certainly don’t feel very elegant and should probably change to @sportsixty 😂 but it became a fun way to enjoy all my clothes and learn about what suited me.

How do you describe your signature personal style?

Sporty, natural, pretty classic but hopefully with a young vibe. In the summer, I’m full of colour and live in sports clothes or floaty dresses while
in the winter I love neutrals and jeans.

Who’s style are you inspired by? In real life or online?

I loved the outfits on Julia Stiles in Riviera and Connie Britton in White Lotus. Other favourites are Cindy Crawford and Elle McPherson just because they always look stunning but natural.

If you had to pick your favourite piece from the Just Add Style luxury silk scarf collection, which would it be and why?

They are all unique and I love the colours which really add a pop to any outfit but, if I had to pick, it would be the zebra or the leopard!

How did you become a fashion influencer?

I didn’t know I was one? My instagram story started with me posting a daily outfit for 365 days during the pandemic and it sort of grew from there. Now it’s like a diary of my clothes throughout the year. It has given me confidence and so I have continued – I hope to be able to pass some style hints and tips onto others who are also moving into their sixties.

Which three Instagram accounts do you currently love and want to recommend?

@carolinescircuits – she comes over as such a lovely person and is always so positive, encouraging everyone to exercise, and annoyingly she looks so good in absolutely anything!

@sophiticatedbox – her elegance and style are so natural.

@isthistooyoungforme – I just love her sass!
