While lingering uncertainty remains, we’ve become accustomed to hopeful trepidation and want to luxuriate in the joyfulness which comes with this time of year. Despite the challenges 2021 presented us with as brand founders, happily Just Add Style continues to grow thanks to (a lot of) hard work in our studio bubble and your greatly appreciated custom. An unexpected highlight of the Covid-19 pandemic is the overwhelming support for independent small British businesses. We’re thrilled with the way Just Add Style has evolved during 2021 and proud of the new additions to our illustrated silk and paper collections, now available in our online shop.
We remain committed to our capsule collection of luxury silk scarves and designing uniquely modern interpretations of the traditional silk square and a fashionable take on the popular skinny silk scarf. Each silk scarf unites the worlds of fashion illustration, textiles and graphic design to produce scarves which are feminine, elegant, understated and confident. Contemporary design, traditional production and fine craftsmanship are the cornerstones of Just Add Style.
Just in time for Christmas, we’ve launched two new luxury silk skinny scarves. ‘Zebra Crossing’ showcases a dazzle of monochrome stripy wild ones on a jewel-like emerald green background and framed by a black boarder. ‘Urban Jungle’ features our favourite wild patterns inspired by two of the most stylish of big cats – leopard spots on electric blue on one side and tiger stripes printed on a stunning golden yellow on the other, both framed by a black border.
As with all the prints in our collection, they’ve been hand drawn by Em in our studio and the layout compositions have been digitally curated by Lisa. The scarves were brought to life by our trusted manufacturing partner in the Far East who works with generations of expertise and unparalleled know how. Each scarf is individually hand finished and our close partnership allows us to have complete trust in a sustainable production process from fibre to finish. We are safe in the knowledge that our scarves will be of the highest quality and crafted from the finest silk twill.
Along with our silk scarf additions, we’ve added to Just Add Style’s capsule collection of stylish illustrated correspondence cards which complement our silk prints. Our aspiration to make everyday correspondence extraordinary continues! Brand new illustrated designs and new mixed sets are available.
As we spend our days this December steaming, wrapping and posting a flurry of Christmas orders from our online shop, our studio conversations are looking ahead to 2022 and evolving our luxury silk fashion label. We love creating our beautiful luxury silk collection for you and producing scarves for you to enjoy wearing. We’re grateful for the success of 2021 and are looking forward to what comes next for our fashion label.
